Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a sponsored search box is sent to the outside company that provides the tool. That provider processes the input and supplies its results. Cheyenne County Court Docket does not keep a site-side log of the names or case numbers entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a direct message or email, it may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is not shared outside the operator unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics functions can collect technical facts when a page loads:
- the device's internet protocol address
- browser type and version
- device category and operating system
- pages viewed and time spent on them
- the referring website, when available
- the date and time of a page request
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files and analytics services help measure traffic, identify popular pages, and find performance problems. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. Disabling them may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical information may be used to:
- operate, secure, and speed up the site
- send a search request to the selected partner
- measure which content visitors use
- diagnose faults and service interruptions
- support advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Cheyenne County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of Cheyenne County case records. It publishes general directions to the Combined Court clerk, trial courts, town custodians, and Colorado search or request systems. Court records are chiefly governed by Chief Justice Directive 05-01 and P.A.I.R.R. 1, not by a visitor-data policy. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. ยงยง 24-72-200.1 through 206, governs public records more broadly but is not a substitute for the Judicial Branch rules that control case files. This site is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into a report about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the sponsored search boxes. Information entered in those tools falls under the provider's own privacy notice, retention rules, and sharing practices. Review those terms before submitting a query because this policy does not control the provider.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado Judicial, Cheyenne County court pages, Cheyenne Wells or Kit Carson resources, legal information, and commercial services. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy terms apply.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across sites. That processing occurs on their systems and is governed by their notices.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be received by:
- a search provider handling a query
- analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- advertising networks serving site content
- government authorities acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the operator's control. No internet service can promise perfect security, so protection against every breach or misuse cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under 18. Information known to have been submitted by a minor will be removed when the operator becomes aware of it.
Your Data Rights
Colorado privacy and consumer-protection law, including the Colorado Privacy Act in C.R.S. Title 6, Article 1, Part 13, may give a Colorado resident rights that depend on whether the law applies to a particular controller or use. A person may be able to:
- ask for access to personal data held about them
- request correction of inaccurate information
- seek deletion when the law provides that right
- opt out of specified processing when applicable
These visitor-data rights are separate from access to a Cheyenne County court file, which is handled by the court under CJD 05-01 and P.A.I.R.R. 1.
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as services or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes available on this page with its new effective date.
